You can pick your nose, you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your friends nose.

But you can pick your babys nose.

When my little guy was 6 weeks old my husband was traveling so it was just us for a couple of days.  I felt like I was a pretty chill new mom considering that he was tiny and fragile and had only been alive for 6 weeks but I still let my husband leave and didn’t call for back up.  But then, it was time to go to sleep.  His nose was kinda stuffy and I could hear it as he slept.  Looking back, I’m fairly certain that he would have just slept through and been totally fine but of course, I did the paranoid mom thing.  I could see the boogers in his ity bity nose and man-oh-man was I hell-bent on getting them out of there.  I had received an Oogiebear for my shower, but of course I couldn’t find it.  I do like the Oogie bear and the brand but it wasn’t much help to me lost at the bottom of a draw at 2am. I tried everything I could think of and while I finally got those boogers out, we did not sleep very much that night .

Morale of the story, the very next day I ordered 2 things. This nose picker, and this snot sucker.   I use these two products daily.  The nose sucker has become part of our night time routine.  The litte guy actually likes it because there are lights and it makes noise and has lights.  Snot sucking ahs become part of nightly routine used alongside this saline from Oogie Boogie that has a nice little smell.

Now call me crazy but I find it pretty satisfying to pick boogers outta my kids nose.  And even more so, ear wax.  So much earwax from such a little guy.  And before you freak out on me for sticking things in my kids ears.  It’s right on the edge I never go deep in the ear cannal. Plus, the way this tool is set up you can’t go far anyway.  BONUS: big enough that I can’t misplace it and everyone sleeps better.

This saline mister… lifesaver.  When he was smaller I was worried about putting saline in his nose.  I don’t know why, I was worried that it would go down the wrong way and he’d choke, or atleast gag and fuss I guess.  Enter this little gem that I stumbled across on Instagram. I held it over him after his bottle everynight while he was falling asleep.  Actually I even used it on myself.
